Scripture Reading and App Preferences

To provide features such as Continue Reading and synchronized reader settings, the app may store information associated with your account, including:

Information Stored on Your Device

The Holy Scriptures is designed with significant offline functionality. Scripture content, search information, preferences, reading information, saved content, application files, and other data may therefore be stored locally on your device.

Local information may remain on a device until it is removed by the app, the browser or operating system, you clear the app's stored data, or you uninstall the app.

How We Use Information

Offline Scripture Reading

A core purpose of The Holy Scriptures app is to make scripture reading reliable and accessible, including when an internet connection is unavailable.

Scripture text and supporting application resources may be downloaded or cached on your device. Local scripture reading and local search can therefore occur without sending each scripture passage or search request to our servers.

Certain account features, synchronization functions, profile services, and application updates require an internet connection.

Zoho and Zoho Catalyst

Zoho Catalyst provides infrastructure used for services including application hosting, authentication, account services, profile data, and synchronization features.

We expect service providers that process personal information on our behalf to handle that information in accordance with their contractual, privacy, security, and legal obligations.

The Holy Scriptures app is not designed as an advertising platform. We do not use scripture reading activity or account information for third-party behavioral advertising.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.

For example, sensitive authentication tokens used by the native app are intended to remain within the native authentication environment rather than being exposed to ordinary webpage or JavaScript application code.
