Purpose of Our Services

The True Church of Jesus Christ provides its website, The Holy Scriptures app, and related services to support scripture reading, religious education, worship, study, communication, and participation in the work and mission of the Church.

The Holy Scriptures app includes scripture reading, search, saved reading information, daily readings, reader preferences, account features, and other services that may be added or changed over time.

Accounts

Certain services require an account. When you create or use an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably current.

You are responsible for protecting access to your account and for activity that occurs through your account.

You should not share passwords, authentication credentials, or other sensitive account information with others.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account when reasonably necessary to protect the services, other users, the Church, or the security and integrity of our systems.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our services lawfully, respectfully, and in a manner consistent with their intended purposes.

Holy Scripture and Religious Content

The website and The Holy Scriptures app contain scripture, religious teachings, Church materials, historical records, commentary, artwork, media, and other content.

Scripture and religious materials are provided for reading, study, worship, education, and other lawful personal or Church-related purposes.

Some scripture editions, compilations, arrangements, introductions, annotations, formatting, artwork, application interfaces, and other materials may be owned, licensed, edited, compiled, or otherwise maintained by The True Church of Jesus Christ Corp or by their respective rights holders.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Church-owned or third-party intellectual property to you.

Personal and Noncommercial Use

Unless otherwise stated, our services are provided primarily for personal, household, educational, devotional, and other noncommercial use.

You may read, study, quote, share, or reference content where permitted by applicable law and any rights associated with the particular material.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, license, publish, or create a competing commercial service using substantial portions of our proprietary website, application, design, database, compilation, or other protected materials without permission.

App Features and Offline Use

The Holy Scriptures app is designed to provide substantial offline functionality. Scripture content, search information, reader settings, application resources, and other information may be stored locally on your device.

Some features, including account authentication, synchronization, profile services, application updates, and other online functions, require an internet connection.

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available offline or that every feature will be available on every device or platform.

Saved Information and Synchronization

The Holy Scriptures app may allow certain information to be saved locally or synchronized with your account, including reading position, reader preferences, profile information, time zone, and other supported settings.

While we take reasonable measures to maintain these services, you should not rely on synchronized or locally stored application information as the sole permanent copy of information that is especially important to you.

Synchronization may occasionally be delayed, interrupted, unavailable, or affected by network conditions, device settings, service limitations, or maintenance.

Third-Party Services

Our services may rely on or link to third-party services, including technology providers used for hosting, authentication, infrastructure, communications, or other operational functions.

For example, Zoho and Zoho Catalyst provide infrastructure used by portions of The Holy Scriptures app and related account services.

Third-party websites and services may have their own terms, privacy policies, and practices. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or operation of independent third-party services.

Service Availability and Changes

We may add, modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features or portions of our services as reasonably necessary.

We may also perform maintenance, security updates, infrastructure changes, content updates, or other work that temporarily affects availability.

We do not guarantee that the website, app, accounts, synchronization, downloads, or any specific feature will always be available without interruption or error.

No Professional Advice

Religious, historical, educational, technical, or other information provided through our services is offered for the purposes described on the website and within the app.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, our services do not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, or other licensed professional advice.

You should consult an appropriately qualified professional when you need advice in one of those areas.

Disclaimer of Warranties

This includes, where permitted by law, losses resulting from service interruptions, device problems, loss of locally stored information, synchronization failures, unauthorized activity, or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Termination of Use

You may stop using our services at any time.

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of a violation of these Terms, unlawful activity, misuse of the services, security concerns, technical requirements, or protection of other users and Church systems.

We may update these Terms & Conditions as our services, technology, practices, or legal obligations change.

When changes are made, the effective date displayed at the top of this page will be updated.
