Introduction to The Protevangelion of James the Lesser - True Church Edition
The Protevangelion of James the Lesser is an ancient sacred text attributed to James the Less. This important writing provides a detailed account of the miraculous birth and early life of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ.
It recounts the story of her parents Joachim and Anna, her presentation and upbringing in the Temple, her life of holiness and purity, and her betrothal to the righteous Joseph. These writings also illuminate the sacred events surrounding the birth of our Lord and Saviour, offering deeper insight into the Nativity and the divine preparations for the coming of the Messiah. It serves as a meaningful companion to the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
