The Book of Commandments Section 13 - Writing the Word
1Thus Sayeth the Lord, the High Priesthood of The True Church of Jesus Christ is charged with writing my word. You are given in this hour the task of recording and adding new doctrine, which I the Lord shall give unto you for my children to follow; so that they may take my words into their hearts and grow towards me in all things.
2The Book of Life of the True Church of Jesus Christ is to be a guide for all Saints. It is to be a signpost to be read for to avoid falling to the temptations of Babylon.
3You are given authority to write as the words flow unto you. There shall be great volumes written that shall take up room upon the earth, which if written on papyrus as in times of old, the earth itself could not contain them all.
4Write my words as they come. There is much work to do. Your strength shall begin to wane in temporal endeavors, as you are needed in your calling as High Priests of my Church; even the True Church of the most high God of the Heavens and of the earth and all things therein.
5Behold, I am Jesus Christ; the Alpha and the Omega, creator of the Heavens and the earth and all things therein. My word shall go forth and reach the four corners of the earth by the mouth of my chosen and anointed servants.
6See that you are strong and faithful in all things. See that you preach my gospel which is the gospel of repentance and of baptism in my name for the remission of sins.
7I have spoken, Amen.
