The Christian life is not aimless. Jesus Christ calls us to know Him, follow Him, repent, receive His grace, and become a holy people who love God and serve one another.
That calling reaches the whole of life. It belongs in our homes, our work, our worship, our relationships, our use of time, and the way we respond when we fail.
Know Jesus Christ
Christ placed knowing God at the center of eternal life. We learn Him through Scripture, prayer, worship, repentance, and the quiet work of following what He has taught.
To know Christ is to learn His voice and trust Him enough to change when He corrects us.
“This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Repent and Become Holy
The gospel brings forgiveness, but it also changes us. Christ calls us out of sin and teaches us to become clean in heart, honest in conduct, faithful in covenant, and merciful toward others.
We will stumble many times. When we do, we return to Him, repent sincerely, and keep walking.

Love God and Love Your Neighbor
Jesus joined these commandments together. Love for God should become visible in the way we speak, forgive, work, keep promises, raise children, care for parents, and treat the person in front of us.
Christian love is not sentiment alone. It costs time, patience, humility, and sometimes sacrifice.

Serve Where the Lord Has Placed You
Most Christian service is ordinary. A meal, a visit, a prayer, an honest day of work, a child taught carefully, or a burden quietly shared may never draw attention.
King Benjamin taught that when we serve one another, we are serving God. That makes the ordinary places of life holy ground for discipleship.
“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”

Help Build Up the Church
Christians also have a shared calling. The Church is strengthened when people pray, teach, welcome, give, forgive, carry responsibility, and use their gifts for the good of the body.
As we grow, the Lord gives us work to do for others. Every disciple has something to carry.

Seek First the Kingdom of God
Jesus gave us a clear order for our desires. The kingdom comes before status, comfort, fear, and the many ambitions that can consume a life.
When that order is right, even simple things become part of our worship. We can build a home, earn a living, raise children, serve the Church, and face hardship with our eyes still turned toward God.
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness.”
Matthew 6:33 ↗
