The Book of Commandments Section 23 - The True Church
1My dear Saints, establish and proclaim a new church in my name, for the priests and the prophets to come together and be endowed with power and knowledge from on high.
2Behold, the church for the Highest Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God, shall be named The True Church of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God. For there is no other name given under the heavens, by which mankind shall be saved.
3This high priesthood is henceforth given the keys of authority to judge and seal up all evil upon the earth, so far as it is known to my priests, in preparation for the great day of my coming. This high priesthood after the Order of the Son of God is the highest and only priesthood upon the earth which I have blessed with the keys of authority to sanctify or cast out all things under the heavens.
4The church shall begin with the Holy Priesthood. All who partake of this church shall be called priests and Saints, after the order of the Son of God. My church shall perform authorized baptisms for the remission of sins, and ordinances required to seal and bind evil on the earth, in preparation for my coming in the great and last day.
5The 9 covenants shall be offered to all who are willing to call themselves Saints in my name. These covenants are the same covenants offered to the high priesthood in all dispensations. They are the binding authority by which Saints and High Priests perform works in my name.
