The Book of Commandments Section 25 - Levitical Priesthood
1It is given unto The High Priests, after the Order of the Son of God, to perceive the ordinances for the church. Ordinances must come from the authority of the Holy Priesthood if they are to be of binding effect.
2Thus Sayeth the Lord; I give you the Levitical priesthood, after the Order of the ancient priests who serve the Son of God. The Sons of Levi carried this priesthood even unto this day, which is the priesthood of administering ceremonies and sacrificial rites.
3The priests of Levi are to learn of their heritage, being diligent in all things which are expedient in me - things to bring them and their brothers unto remembrance of the sacrifice of the only begotten Son of God who died for their sins.
4Thus Sayeth the Lord; the priesthood of the Levitical order holds the keys of administration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It also holds the keys of administration of the ordinances of salvation, including the sacrament and evening sanctification. The priests of Levi shall follow the High Priests after the Order of the Son of God in all things. They are given the keys of revelation for to guide their elders and to keep them from straying off the narrow path which leads all unto salvation in Jesus Christ. Yea, even from the mouths of babes shall my word roll forth.
5A Saint may join the Levitical priesthood order if he has repented for his sins and has taken upon himself the 9 covenants of the True Church of Jesus Christ. He must first be baptized with authority and be found spotless before me.
6Thus Sayeth the Lord. The ordination of the priest after the order of Levi, for the administration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of the sacred ordinances, shall proceed as follows: The High Priest shall place his hands upon the head of the willing Saint and declare, “ by the Authority of the High Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God, and in the name of Jesus Christ, I confer upon you the Levitical priesthood, after the order of the Son of God. This priesthood shall be attended to with the utmost care and diligence so as to prepare you to receive the Higher Priesthood when the time comes. You shall be given the keys of administration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of the ordinances of the church from this time forth. And I say unto you, receive the Holy Ghost, Amen”.
7The priest shall then be anointed with consecrated oil and water for to seal upon the head of the priest, the authority and the powers given therein.
8I have spoken, Amen.
9It shall be known from this time forth that the Levitical and Aaronic priesthoods hold the same keys and are of the same order.
10The Melchizedek priesthood is higher still, holding the keys of repentance and of higher spiritual authority to be used in all diligence and faithfulness.
11There is no need for redundancy in my church, for my house is a house of order, Sayeth the Lord.
12The High Priesthood, after the Order of the Son of God, is the highest order, holding the keys of sanctification and of administering the powers of heaven on earth, for to prepare the way of the Lord Jesus Christ in the great and terrible day of his coming. The High Priesthood carries the heaviest burden and may only be given to the most worthy of married Saints, yea even men who have experienced the burdens of the world and have come back to me unmarred and repentant in all things.
13The True Church of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, is hereby given the keys of all four priesthoods, as they have been revealed to the sons of men. My church shall grow in power and authority through these priesthoods, in accordance with their righteousness, faithfulness, and long suffering in my name, even Jesus Christ, who is the Alpha and the Omega; the author and finisher of your faith.
14Even so, Amen.
