The Book of Commandments Section 29 - The Field
1The fields of the world are now white, ready for the harvest to commence amongst the children of men. The time has come to begin the great gathering of the Saints for my church, even The True Church of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God.
2The fields are aflame with the sins of men. They burn in the noonday sun, as the heavens weep for the fallen souls, who have lost their estates to the snares of the wicked one.
3Hear ye, all the inhabitants of the earth! Yea, even my children who I have loved from the beginning! Remove yourselves from sin and go no more out. Cleanse and sanctify yourselves for the hour of judgment is nigh at hand, yea even at the gate.
4Yea, thus Sayeth the Lord; the fields of the world are white; ready for the harvest. Mine angels have descended so as to help my children repent and return unto my presence. And the children of the night seek to destroy them, even their souls, with relentless precision and crafts of sorcery.
5Behold my children, read my words which contain the fullness of my gospel. Believe that they are true and follow their precepts with all of your might, your mind and your strength, for soon approaching are the days where no man can exist without my constant guiding presence. Yea, hearken to the words of your creator, even the Alpha and the Omega, who am I; Jesus Christ.
6The fields of the world are the ground where souls are raised up and cultivated, nurtured and cared for so as to become inheritors of celestial nobility and kingdoms, which can only be wrought and controlled by the principles of hope, faith, charity, righteousness and faithfulness. Yea, to be born in sin all must learn to find their way free, to be taught in the ways of the gospel of repentance and of baptism for the remission of sins in the name of the Son of God, even Jesus Christ. For there is no other name given under the heavens whereby man may be saved.
7The fields are aflame with the sins and transgressions of the children of men. They burn in iniquity and the vapors rise up even to the heavens and I am not well pleased. But I shall stay mine hand for the time being, so as to save the harvest which is plentiful and raise up unto me one last time a generation in righteousness to be an ensign upon the hills; even the House of Israel of which all righteous souls may be blessed and adopted into, in accordance with my law and by the power of the High Priesthood after the Order of the Son of God.
8Yea, my children hear the words of your creator who beacons you to repent and return unto me. Forsake your sins, repent in my name and humble yourselves before me so as to be judged and forgiven, to be blessed with eternal life and the gifts of eternity. For your Father in Heaven wishes to abide with you all, to bring you back into his presence and comfort you in your afflictions.
9But I the Lord cannot dwell in unholy temples, even defiled and unclean tabernacles, riddled with the leprous acts and thoughts of fallen men. Ye must repent and become as little children; humble, meek, kind - long suffering and contrite, willing to bear the challenges which befall you in faith and patience, bearing one another’s burdens and lifting each other up, cleansing your homes and villages of sin.
10Yea, the fields of the world are ablaze with the sins of men. They can only be quenched and subdued by the power of redemption and grace, wrought through righteous men, even priests after the Order of the Son of God.
11Now go to, preach my gospel to all creatures under the heavens; for the day draws near in which I shall remove the veil, wrapped as a scroll revealing the heavens and the glory of the Lord unto the children of men. But none shall withstand the presence and the glory of the Father, lest they be converted in me.
12Even so, Amen.
