The Book of Commandments Section 35 - Truth
1Behold and hearken, my children. Hearken to the words of the most high God, even Jesus Christ, who created the heavens and the earth. Hear the words of your creator, your mediator, and your savior.
2Thus Sayeth the Lord; the truth of existence lies before you. It is plain, and it is good. The truth is within you all, for I have written my name upon your hearts, even before you were. Truth is a sphere, within which lies no deceit and no evil.
3Thus Sayeth the Lord; the truth exists within my Holy Scriptures. The stories are true. They came to pass in the lives of my children, as they are written. I say again; the stories in my scriptures are true. The scriptures are rich with meaning and guidance, but the truth is simple and plain. It lies before you all, as a cleared path. The truth is the way, and it shall set you free.
4There is but one truth and one way. There are no alternate or substitute truths. For there is one God, one earth, and one existence within which you all live and die. My wish is for you is to live and die in truth; to live and die in me.
5The truth of the world is that it was created in the beginning, by the power of my word, in six days. And upon the seventh day, I did rest. The earth is nigh more than several thousand years old. It did not evolve through random circumstances, nor by chance, but was lovingly and arduously created by mine hand, for mine own purpose, which is to guide and prepare all mankind for his eternal life in the heavens. I, the Lord, came unto my own in the median of time, the center of existence, to atone for the sins of all mankind; all who were, who are, and are yet to be. The median of time is the literal center of the celestial chronological calendar, of the age of the earth.
6I say again, the concept and teaching of evolution is a lie and a sin. It is a contrivance of the devil, designed to lead astray my children. This abomination shall no longer be followed by any who call themselves my children.
7Thus Sayeth the Lord; all theories, teachings, campaigns, expoundings, doctrine and writings which do not edify, confirm and support my scriptures are lies.
8I, the Lord, created the earth and the heavens, even the whole of existence, in six days. I placed the great light in the sky to light the earth by the day, and the lesser light in the sky to light the earth by night. I placed the stars in the heavens to guide my children and to provide a way for my children to reach me.
9The lesser light has never been touched by man. It is a heavenly body, even a celestial creation. Mankind has never reached it, nor set his foot upon it. But the lies roll forth nevertheless, deceiving and distracting my children from their simple and beautiful purpose, which is to gather themselves, sanctify themselves, and build up my holy city of Zion upon the earth.
10There is no concoction, nay vaccine, that will save the life of a man. The injections of poison are a great and grievous sin and shall be avoided by my Saints always. The lies of modern medicine are no longer to be tolerated. But the vanity of the elderly, who live in sin and seek to prolong their mortal existence, fuels the evil and is now suffocating the innocent.
11The elderly who fear their meeting with me because of their great and grievous sins shall no longer rule this world. Yea, the elderly of this world shall henceforth yield their power to the men of the priesthood. The priests shall revere and remember the sacrifices of their righteous forefathers, but the evil elderly who are threatening to consume this world with their lusts and their vanities must needs be chastened and removed from their high places. For they infest the world with their arrogance and their lies, killing the just without cause.
12The lies are designed to destroy the fabric of creation itself. For the prince of darkness has already fallen. He has already lost. For this purpose, he fights not for the light nor for victory, but for my children to lose as well. And in this way, the lies attack the foundation of all that is good and true.
13There is but one God, one earth, one man, and one woman. The lies of gender and of sex are the rot of the most evil machinations of the darkness. But the lies grow and spread their perversions as my children lose themselves to them. Yea, my dear children, forsake the lies about gender and sex. A man is a man, and a woman is a woman, created from his rib, so that a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife, and none else. No longer shall my garden be polluted with these lies of filth and decay.
14Thus Sayeth the Lord; the lies have become but a rotten carcass, bleeding out its septic blood upon the face of the land. The lies are everywhere and in everything. They destroy without care and deceive without soul. For the lies are the fruit of the wicked one and the children of darkness. They are the rot and decay of death and hell.
15There are many lies upon the face of the earth, my children. There are more than can be counted. But they are all of the same type, and they all come from the same being - even Satan, the father of lies, who was a liar from the beginning.
16Yea, my children, if you wish to live in my presence, live in truth. Avoid any works which cause you to lie or deceive for gain. Avoid callings to work for any who do evil and, if necessary, choose poverty in faith, knowing that I will provide for you; rather than the false security of lies and evil. The wicked one has taken ownership of the earth and endeavors to subject all of my children under his twisted dominion. And following the world, not trusting that I, the Lord, will provide for you; yea, choosing to do evil works, selling your birthright of righteousness and purity, is sin. And great is the fall in it.
17Thus Sayeth the Lord; ye need not any more than that which I shall provide for you. For I provided manna for my children in the desert. I gave them quails, and water from the rock. I know of that which you need, and the hairs of your heads are all numbered before me. If an agent of the devil shall ask you to commit even a small amount of evil in exchange for your soul - do not accept it, children. Run to the light and pray for salvation and for your needs to be provided for; pray and wait in faith. And I shall visit you with my spirit, and I shall fill your sack and laden you with blessings from above.
18Ye need not do evil to survive, my children. Ye need only to repent, cleanse yourselves of sin, call my name, and humble yourselves as little children, and I will save you. I will provide your raiment, and I will place a roof over your heads.
19The truth is plain, my dear children. It exists within the entirety of my gospel and my scriptures. It exists in the mouths of my ordained servants, who follow me in simplicity and righteousness.
20Thus Sayeth the Lord; hear ye all who love me and search for me, even Jesus Christ - find my church and join my faithful priests - become baptized in my name, repent of your sins and begin your lives anew, in my light and in truth.
21Even so, Amen.
