The Book of Commandments Section 38 - Home
1I give unto you, my Saints, the promise of salvation and redemption. I call you all home now, so as to labor in my vineyard and to build up mine holy city of Zion.
2Thus Sayeth the Lord; a home shall be given to all my Saints, so they may enter into my rest and begin the great work of gathering my sheep and building up my holy city. A home of peace, of faith, and prayer.
3Yea, to all my Saints who are scattered upon the face of the land; it is time to come home to Zion; to build up her wasted places and repair the broken trestles. Build homes for your families upon the hills, inside the walls of the city. Build up chapels and halls for meetings, prayers, and places to stand together and worship the Lord.
4Build up Zion, which is where I shall be. The home of the Lord is in the heavens, and I wait to return to the earth. But I require of you now to build me a home on the earth. I wait for my Saints to build me a holy place, where you may perform the ordinances of sanctification and purification, which are necessary before you are called and ordained into the great High Priesthood. Build up the school of the prophets, to be a home of learning and development. The school of the prophets shall be a home for my priests, where they shall learn to wield the gifts and powers of God upon the earth.
5And again, my Saints shall be given homes where they may settle and grow, abiding in my presence, raising their children, and learning of me. Homes shall be built for all, according to their needs. Homes will be designed by Saints who have the gifts of architecture and craftsmanship, taking great care to build them up to celestial specifications and by the guidance of my prophet and his apostles.
6Yea, my children, build Zion. Build up the holy city of the Lord, with citadels, chapels, meeting houses, and the great celestial towers of your dreams. There is much to learn and much to behold, in the great journey of growth towards salvation. You shall learn of the energy of transfer and of movement, of the great cleansing forces that may only be wielded by the power of the Holy Priesthood.There shall be much prophecy given for the salvation of all mankind, and blessings shall be poured out upon you, for which there shall not be room enough to receive.
7Heed the words of the Lord, who speaks to the Saints. Heed the words of He, who created the Heavens and the earth, and all things therein; my children are lost in the wilderness, being tossed among the waves of apostasy. Yea, they shall be lost no longer, for I have given power back to the Saints to build up Zion and redeem her from her great fall.
8Thus Sayeth the Lord; gather ye all together, Saints and children who cal themselves by my holy name, which is Jesus Christ - the time has come to gather up the house of Israel and all my holy children who are willing to come unto me.
9The time has come to build up the city of Zion and the literal Kingdom of God upon the earth. It shall be built in the great basin in the hills, beside the great lake of Salt, and it shall be built to celestial specifications.
10For I, the Lord, now require of you, my Saints, that a home be built so that I may bless you all with power from on high. Yea, I, the Lord, require at your hands a home in Zion wherewith I may visit you and guide you. For there is no house nor home upon the earth today where my spirit can abide, for all have become corrupted before me.
11And lastly, a home is required for my prophet and his family. The spirit of my prophet has returned to the earth, and he abides in the wilderness. He has returned by my power and is growing in my presence. He sees you all, and knows of you. You must prepare for him and build him a home, even a modest and humble shelter where he may live. He shall have a simple home where he may raise his family and lay his head and rest, having spent his days laboring once again in Zion. He has returned to the earth through great tribulation, and knew not his calling until the time was at hand. But he has returned and is ready to come unto Zion once again.
12Go to my Saints and my priests. Build a home for the Lord and his people. Build homes for your families and your friends, even all who are called to the work. Soon will my glory fill the earth, and there must be a city and a home for the Lord. There must be a Zion.
