The Book of Commandments
The Book of Commandments Section 4 - Spotless Saints
Thus sayeth the Lord; my saints are to be clean, even spotless from this world. The time has come for my Saints to cast off all of the distractions and temptations of this world; for even from the beginning have I commanded my Saints to be pure; even white as snow.
The temptations of the world have proven to divers and too great for my chosen people to bear and thus shall they be tempted in these things no more.
For my Saints shall no longer be idle in their goings; they shall no longer commit their time to needless recreation or to the temptations of superfluous entertainments.
My Saints are the army of righteousness upon the earth. They are to be clean so as to show the world a better way in all things.
To read scripture, meet often, and discuss the joy and the fulfillment of the sacred prophecies, which cannot be borne nor enjoyed but in faithfulness, in righteousness, and by the power of the priesthood.
The word of wisdom was given so as to be a spiritual guide in a simpler time. But the adversary has led astray so many of my children.
And now a time of great sanctification shall proceed at the direction of my servants.
For mine own purpose have I subjected my servants to great trials, so that they may testify of my power upon them of the necessary steps and ordinances of purification which must now come to pass amongst all of my Saints.
