The Book of Commandments Section 41 - The Great and Last Day
1From the time of Adam to the time of Christ there were great miracles upon the earth. The heavens were open and men reaped the gifts sent down from their Father above.
2These men were nearly all lost to sin, to the abominable temptations which beset them, even the works of Satan who taught his unholy angels how to trap and ensnare souls, dragging them down to the depths of hell.
3The Lord weeps for His lost children who gave up their first estate which was to walk in righteousness and holiness, following the priests, prophets and teachers who walked among them and pleaded for them to repent of their sins.
4From the beginning men were given the keys of salvation and were set to be tried in the fields of temptation, so as to prove their character in all things that the Lord would bestow upon them.
5This, my dear children, is the plan of salvation; the reason you are here walking on the earth, braving the storms and suffering temptation. You are here to be proven for your character, your choices and your willingness to repent and obey the commandments given to you by your Father in heaven.
6Your journey is not in vain and not without meaning. A man born of woman must traverse the earth, to learn of himself and to learn of his God. There are a multitude of ways by which a man can find the Lord; even the truth of all things. But there is only one name under the heavens by which all men may be saved, even Jesus Christ.
7Thus saith the Lord; as you grow and learn about your journey here in the world, I command you all to become righteous, pure and undefiled in your ways. I command you all to seek me, to follow the ways of my beloved Son; to repent and be baptized in His holy name, which is Jesus Christ. Regardless of where you began your journey my dear children, you are all invited to conclude it, being saved in the kingdom of God.
8This saith the Lord; by the mouths of my prophets, I have given the world a multitude of scriptures which contain my Holy Word. These are my instructions by which you may all find your way back to your Father in Heaven.
9The Holy Bible and this Book of Commandments, of The True Church of Jesus Christ, along with all authorized scriptures of my True Church contain the correct and living instructions for you all to find salvation. My words will lead you to the true and righteous path which leads back to me.
10The Word of the Lord was given in the beginning, to Adam and Eve, and to all of their children throughout time and eternity. The Word of God is a plain and precious truth which bears no secrets nor shame.
11When you find these words, my dear children and you read my Holy Scriptures, and you begin on the covenant path which leads you back into me, you will find me. You will find the plain and precious truth that all righteous men search for which is the truth of life, which is in Jesus Christ. If you follow the path, casting aside all of your sins for righteousness, walking in faith alone that I the Lord will guide you and care for you; yea if you endure to the end and are found worthy, then I the Lord shall visit you and you shall be baptized with fire from the heavens and by the Holy Ghost.
12You shall be visited by the Lord at the great and last day of the trials of your faith. For the great and last day is twofold - it is the end of the earth but also the end of each man’s time as a sinner. Each man and woman must strive to be perfect so as to be blessed with their own great and last day, where they are visited by me, Jesus Christ. Until that day, you must wear out your lives, repenting of all sins, both great and small, so as to be found worthy in mine eyes. Even so, amen.
